The Selectboard creates advisory standing committees to investigate, report on or to act upon a particular matter as needed..
 

Parks and Recreation Committee:  Consists of up to five (5) members appointed by the Selectboard, every effort will be made to include one (1) Pool representative, one (1) Rink representative, and one (1) Youth League representative. Upon the direction of the Selectboard, the Parks and Recreation Committee provides guidance to the Selectboard regarding the programs, long range planning, use of municipally-owned parks, fields and facilities and reviews each department’s budget. This committee has been charged with working with the directors/managers of the Pool and Rink on management/operational issues as needed.

There is currently two vacancies on this committee.


 
 

Law Enforcment Committee:  At this year’s Town meeting, the voters supported the formation of a Law Enforcement Committee to look at local law enforcement vs. contracting with the Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement.  The makeup and charge for the committee is currently being developed by the Selectboard.
